Description

The new Maven RS.5 4-24x50mm SFP - built for those who require the precision of long range dialing with the fine reticle benefits of a second focal plane.

When we evaluated our RS Series lineup, a common refrain we heard from our customer base was the need for a solid long range scope that combined features of our top scopes in a second focal plane optical system that allowed for an easy-to-see reticle at all magnifications - enter the RS.5 4-24x50mm SFP.

For those seeking a long distance build that features broad magnification range, large tube diameter, large objective, and desire a straightforward and uncomplicated configuration, the RS.5 covers the bases both inside and out. Featuring both MOA and MIL reticle options, illuminated reticles, side parallax adjustment, robust dial-to-shoot elevation turret, capped windage turret, and mechanical zero stop, the RS.5 ensures the precision you’ve come to expect in a Maven rifle scope.

With an extensive magnification range and flexible elevation dialing, the RS.5 is our recommended rifle scope for long range hunters and shooters alike.

Just like all rifle scopes in the RS Series lineup, the RS.5 features crystal clear ED glass for exceptional clarity, smooth focus, precision-milled adjustments, solid click detents, and durable anodizing to resist heavy use.

The Maven RS Series represents our elite line of rifle scopes, designed to fit your specific needs, delivered for a fraction of the cost to comparable rifle scopes and stacks up with the most celebrated and expensive scopes in the world. Our modern sportsman inspired designs paired with the best available materials and state of the art technology create an uncompromising optic that meets the demands of the modern hunter.

Includes neoprene cover.

Maven: Crafted for the Outdoors

Mountain Town Roots

Maven started in a mountain town, driven by folks who’d rather be out hunting or hiking than chasing corporate profits. Their optics are made for people like you—hunters, birdwatchers, anyone who trusts their gear to make every moment in the wild count. It’s honest craftsmanship from a team that shares your passion for the outdoors.

Top Quality Craftsmanship

Maven skips the retail middleman and those 15-30% markups that jack up prices in stores. By selling direct, they focus on what matters: top-grade Japanese glass and materials built to handle the toughest conditions, not cheapened to fit a retailer’s price tag. You get optics designed to perform, shipped right from their workshop to your door.

What is your warranty?

All Maven optics come with an unconditional lifetime warranty. If your optic becomes damaged or is at all defective (not including deliberate or cosmetic damage that does not hinder product performance), contact us immediately for repair or replacement. We don’t care where or when you bought it or if it was your fault or not - if it says Maven, we will take care of it.

What is included when I buy a riflescope?

Each riflescope comes with a neoprene scope cover, ideal for field use and for storage while not in use.

Does the RS.5 Riflescope have a zero-stop?

This Riflescope features a mechanical zero-stop.

How do I set up my RS.5 turrets / zero-stop?

Resetting the turret to zero: Remove the top knurled portion of the turret by turning counter-clockwise. Once removed, the turret can lift and spin without engaging the adjustment clicks (note: moving the turret while it is still engaged with the inner mechanism will change the zero of your scope!). Once the turret spins freely, turn it either direction until the 0-mark lines up with the Zero Indicator facing on the ocular side of the turret base. Press down to reengage the turret mechanism, then re-tighten the turret by placing the top knurled portion back onto the turret, turning clockwise. Do not overtighten. Repeat the process for resetting windage.

Adjusting the zero-stop: 1. Once zeroed, remove the top cap and slide the elevation turret off the scope 2. Using the included hex wrench loosen the three screws on the side of the zero-stop. 3. Slide the zero-stop down the elevation mechanism until it rests against the bottom of the turret base, rotate counterclockwise until the zero-stop pin touches the base pin. 4. Retighten all screws. 5. Replace the turret with the 0-mark aligned with the position indicator and replace the top cap.

How are SFP subtensions calculated?

We’ll use the RS.2 SHR reticle below as an example. Assuming one zeros the scope in at the highest power (10x) the measurement from the center of the reticle to the bottom hash mark is 20 MOA. If we change the magnification to 2x we can take the power (high power / low power) in this case 5 x 20 to get 100 MOA at 2x.

What is the return policy on a riflescope?

We have a two week return policy as long as they are in new and unmounted condition.

Why don't you offer a demo program for riflescopes?

Riflescopes are difficult to demo for a few reasons. First, while any person could mount a scope on their own, scope mounting requires knowledge and specialized tools that are not always readily available. Without adequate tools, the demo unit could be over-torqued causing damage to the scope, and without proper eye-relief the person operating the scope could be injured. Second, if we received a demo scope that was damaged by the previous user, and we didn’t catch the damage before sending the scope off to the next customer, we could be giving that customer a poor experience and at worst an unsafe device.

How can I check out your optics before purchase?

We attend several events per year including expos, fairs, and other outdoor events. As well as some club meetings. This is a great way to see our gear in person. Please get in touch so we can assist you selecting the right optic for your needs

Why is a hard case not included?

We know that not everyone uses or wants a hard case. If a hard case was included, the overall cost of the optic to the customer would be higher. As with all of our components we keep the cost as low as possible.
