Do hunters really need a rangefinder?
For any shot beyond 200m, yes. A rangefinder removes the single largest variable in ethical, accurate shooting. Without precise distance, even experienced hunters have to estimate, and errors of 50-100m are common at extended range. At 400m, a 50m error can mean a miss or a poorly placed shot. It's one of the highest-value additions to a hunting kit.
