The Tricer RP mounts to a Picatinny rail and builds a solid platform from the ground. The JB and the ultralight UL cover lighter setups. Pairs with Tricer tripods and heads for a complete field setup, prone through to elevated glassing.
When do hunters use a bipod instead of a tripod?
A bipod is for a stable prone position: shooting from the ground, at a fixed distance, lower than a tripod can go. It's not a substitute for a tripod's glassing height, it solves a different problem, a stable rest for the shot itself rather than for extended observation.
