"Holy shit. I read the reviews, did my research before deciding to purchase for my wife. Went with the 8x42’s, no regrets. I have a great pair of 10x42 bushnell engage’s. Seriously thinking about upgrading my own pair now. Would definitely recommend."

Description

The B.1.2 is an updated version of our popular flagship B.1 Binocular. We took the best features of a classic and improved upon our original binocular design with a wider field of view, improved coatings, a larger, wider Schmidt-Pechan prism, and packaged it in a lighter, more compact build that boasts excellent light transmission. This binocular is our recommended go-to for an all-purpose optic for hunting, birding, and general-purpose wildlife viewing. Made to handle most situations, the B.1.2 features superior low-light performance, tack-sharp edge-to-edge clarity, generous depth of field, and a silky focus mechanism.

The Maven B Series represents our elite line of optics, designed to fit your specific needs, delivered for a fraction of comparable binoculars’ cost, and stacks up with the most celebrated and expensive binoculars in the world. Our modern sportsman-inspired designs paired with the best available materials and state-of-the-art technology, create an uncompromising optic.

Includes neoprene neck strap, lens caps, and double-layered microfiber storage bag.

Maven: Crafted for the Outdoors

Mountain Town Roots

Maven started in a mountain town, driven by folks who’d rather be out hunting or hiking than chasing corporate profits. Their optics are made for people like you—hunters, birdwatchers, anyone who trusts their gear to make every moment in the wild count. It’s honest craftsmanship from a team that shares your passion for the outdoors.

Top Quality Craftsmanship

Maven skips the retail middleman and those 15-30% markups that jack up prices in stores. By selling direct, they focus on what matters: top-grade Japanese glass and materials built to handle the toughest conditions, not cheapened to fit a retailer’s price tag. You get optics designed to perform, shipped right from their workshop to your door.

Your Australian Connection

As Maven’s Australian supplier, The Modern Hunter is right here, living the same outdoor life you do. Call us up, and you’ll talk to a real person who knows Maven’s gear and Australia’s rugged terrain inside out. We’re ready to help you pick the perfect optics for your next adventure, with the kind of service you’d expect from a mate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your warranty?

All Maven optics come with an unconditional lifetime warranty. If your optic becomes damaged or is at all defective (not including deliberate or cosmetic damage that does not hinder product performance), contact us immediately for repair or replacement. We don’t care where or when you bought it or if it was your fault or not - if it says Maven, we will take care of it.

How can I check out your optics before purchase?

We attend several events per year including expos, fairs, and other outdoor events. As well as some club meetings. This is a great way to see our gear in person. Please get in touch so we can assist you selecting the right optic for your needs

What is the difference between the B Series and C Series?

The C Series is a mid-level optic, while the B Series is a high performance, elite-level optic.

Across the board, the B Series has a ~5-10% increase in performance compared to the C series. This difference will be most noticeable when spending longer time behind the glass. B Series optics have a larger sweet spot & dash. The B Series’ internal optical system uses a higher grade of glass throughout the entire unit. B Series units are produced individually and undergo a more rigorous inspection, while the C Series is produced in the hundreds, and sample inspected. The C Series has a polymer frame lighter than the magnesium frame of the B Series.
Specific features can be viewed on the individual product pages.

What is the difference between the B.1 and B.2?

The fundamental difference is the type of prisms used in each. The B.1 uses a traditional Schmidt-Pechan roof prism and the B.2 uses the Abbe-Koenig prism. Due to the prism size the B.2 is slightly larger and heavier, but also offers 3% more end-to-end light transmission. The B.1 is slightly more compact and comes in the traditional 8×42 and 10×42 while the B.2 is slightly larger and comes in 9×45 and 11×45. Generally speaking, the larger 45mm will gather more light and will perform better in lower light conditions.

Should I go with higher magnification or lower magnification?

This is a very personal choice and will vary by each user depending on their needs and uses.

ADVANTAGES:
Low magnification: Larger Field of View (FOV), larger exit pupil (more light to the eye), easier to hold steady.
High magnification: More detail in distant subjects, objects will appear closer.

What is included when I buy a binocular?

Each binocular (except for the C2, which comes with ocular lens covers only) comes with lens covers for the objective and ocular lenses, a soft storage bag suitable for cleaning the lenses, and a padded neoprene neck strap.

Are Maven binoculars tripod adaptable?

All B Series, C.1, C.3, and C.4 binoculars are tripod adaptable. All adaptable binoculars are compatible with any 1/4x20 threaded tripod adapters. The C.2 is not tripod adaptable.

Why is a hard case not included?

We know that not everyone uses or wants a hard case. If a hard case was included, the overall cost of the optic to the customer would be higher. As with all of our components we keep the cost as low as possible.

Maven B1.2

Hands down the best Binos I’ve ever looked through.
I was nervous at first due to not knowing anyone that had any, but I’m stoked I took the chance on Maven and I’ll never look back!
