Maven: Crafted for the Outdoors

Mountain Town Roots

Maven started in a mountain town, driven by folks who'd rather be out hunting or hiking than chasing corporate profits. Their optics are made for people like you: hunters, birdwatchers, anyone who trusts their gear to make every moment in the wild count. It's honest craftsmanship from a team that shares your passion for the outdoors.

Top Quality Craftsmanship

Maven skips the retail middleman and those 15-30% markups that jack up prices in stores. By selling direct, they focus on what matters: top-grade Japanese glass and materials built to handle the toughest conditions, not cheapened to fit a retailer's price tag. You get optics designed to perform, shipped right from their workshop to your door.

Your Australian Connection

As Maven's Australian supplier, The Modern Hunter is right here, living the same outdoor life you do. Call us up, and you'll talk to a real person who knows Maven's gear and Australia's rugged terrain inside out. We're ready to help you pick the perfect optics for your next adventure, with the kind of service you'd expect from a mate.

Common questions

What is the Maven warranty?
Unconditional lifetime warranty. If your optic is damaged or defective, contact us and we will repair or replace it. It does not matter where or when you bought it, or whose fault it was. Deliberate damage and cosmetic marks that do not affect performance are the only exclusions.
Are Maven binoculars tripod adaptable?
All B Series, and the C.1, C.3 and C.4, are tripod adaptable, and work with any 1/4x20 threaded adapter. The C.2 is not.
What is the difference between the B Series and the C Series?
About 5 to 10 per cent more performance from the B Series, most noticeable over a long session behind the glass. The B Series has a larger sweet spot, a higher grade of glass throughout, and each unit is built and inspected individually. C Series units are produced in the hundreds and sample inspected, and use a polymer frame that is lighter than the B Series magnesium.
Can I look through them before buying?
We attend several events per year including expos, fairs and other outdoor events, as well as some club meetings. It is a good way to see the gear in person. Get in touch and we will help you choose the right one for what you are doing.
